WHAT IS THE $20.00 CONSIGNMENT FEE USED FOR?
Annie's Attic advertises in many fun and well-read publications throughout the area. The fee helps us advertise your items in a fun and inviting manner! The fee is also used to help with the cost and labor of sorting your items, tagging them, and keeping them in tip-top shape during their 60-day consignment period. Remember, this is a one-time only consignment fee. (We will purge our consignor database every 5 years and remove inactive accounts. If you 'had' an account that was purged after 5 years, you will have to pay the consignment fee to reestablish your account with Annie's Attic).
HOW DO I PREPARE MY ITEMS / HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
Ask yourself: 'would I purchase this in a consignment store? Does it still look great, is it in style, is it CLEAN?' If you can answer YES to all of those questions, bring it in! Make sure items are drycleaned or freshly laundered and pressed...if they are not, we will return them to you. PLEASE, LADIES, check, check, check: pockets in all garments and purses, cuffs and hems, neck area, underarm, and the inside of pants. If it's a great pair of slacks that you wore one time for two hours, please clean them anyway. Thanks!
DO I GET A LIST OF THE ITEMS THAT I BROUGHT IN FOR CONSIGNMENT? DO I RECEIVE A TAX RECEIPT FOR ANY ITEMS THAT ARE DONATED?
We request 24 hours to inventory your items and after that you are welcome to come back in and pick up an inventory list. In fact, we encourage you to do so! That way, you can familiarize yourself with how we operate and if you have any questions about pricing, we can address them at that time. As a consignment shop, we do not receive tax receipts for merchandise donated because it does not belong to us (not all of it anyway). The organizations we donate to are small non-profits with very limited volunteer staffs in place. NO TAX RECEIPTS ARE PROVIDED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
